Argosy Park in Ormond Beach


A new beach parking lot at 1255 Ocean Shore Blvd, Ormond By The Sea, will provide additional parking and beach access for the public.  Argosy Park is directly on the beach in Ormond Beach and provides 42 parking spaces, showers, a bike rack, a renovated seawall, stamped concrete with aluminum handrail, and an ADA beach access ramp. Argosy Park is just a few minutes drive south of Granada Blvd on A1A.   Argosy Park opened in February 2019. 

Argosy Park is on the beach just a few minutes north of Granada Blvd (S.R.40) and is open daily from sunrise to sunset and admission is free.  Argosy Park was named after the Argosy Motel, which was built on the property in 1953 and operated by the Clark family for 61 years. Volusia County purchased the property in 2014 to expand off-beach parking. The County Council chose to continue the Argosy name to accentuate the community’s rich coastal history.
